Bob holds a B.A. in Sociology from the State University of New York at Albany and an M.B.A. from Pace University.
Earlier in his career he held human resources positions with American Cyanamid (now Pfizer), SmithKline Beckman (now GlaxoSmithKline), and W.R. Grace. He was then appointed chief human resources executive leading MedImmune’s (now AstraZeneca) growth from early-stage development through regulatory approval and commercial launch. He subsequently established the human resources function at both MedImmune and MacroGenics. He was a key member of the senior management team as MacroGenics grew from early start-up through clinical development, became publicly-traded, and formed partnerships with several major pharmaceutical companies, becoming the chief human resources and facilities officer for MacroGenics, Inc.

In his free time Bob is a mentor to ‘at-risk’ children and coaches youth baseball
